Discusses areas that should be considered to improve catalogues covering: location and directions, physical factors, operation, user instruction, coverage, layout and clarity, stock information, subject access, accuracy and adequacy, quality, outputs, and the intelligent catalogue. Cataloguers should improve communication with users
