"Die Deutsche Nationalbibliothek hat Ende Oktober 2006 die deutsche Übersetzung der "Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records" (FRBR) auf ihrer Website veröffentlicht. Wir freuen uns, damit einen lange gehegten Wunsch der deutschsprachigen bibliothekarischen Fachwelt umzusetzen. http://www.d-nb.de/standardisierung/pdf/frbr_deutsch.pdf <urn:nbn:de:1111-20040721195> <http://nbn-resolving.de/urn/resolver.pl?urn= urn:nbn:de:1111-20040721195> Die "Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records" stellen ein Modell dar, das unabhängig von einem Regelwerk oder einer bestimmten Anwendung Beziehungen zwischen Entitäten benennt und dabei auf die Benutzeranforderungen Finden, Identifizieren, Auswählen und Zugang erhalten eingeht. Neben der 1998 erschienenen englischsprachigen FRBR-Ausgabe liegen bereits zahlreiche Übersetzungen vor. Die FRBR haben sich seit ihrem Erscheinen 1998 nicht nur befruchtend auf theoretische Ansätze ausgewirkt. Die "FRBR Bibliography" <http://infoserv.inist.fr /wwsympa.fcgi/d_read/frbr/FRBR_bibliography.rtf>, die laufend aktualisiert wird, bietet einen Überblick über Anwendungsstudien, Implementierungen und Forschungsprojekte."
