Abstract

Die Zahl aufgedeckter Plagiate wächst weiterhin. Ihre Dunkelziffer dürfte ein Vielfaches davon betragen. Aufgrund grassierender unethischer Autorenschaften (inflationäre Ehrenautorenschaften, Ghost Writings) setzen medizinische Journale nun auf den Begriff der "Kontribuentenschaft", Großprojekte der Hochenergiephysiker auf statutarisch geregelte kollektive Autorenschaften. Welche institutionellen Leitbilder und organisatorischen Kontexte fördern die Bereit-schaft zum Plagiieren bzw unethische Praktiken beim Publizieren (genauer: bei der Zurechnung wissenschaftlicher Leistungen)? Welche Möglichkeiten bieten Wissenschaftsforschung und Informationswissenschaft, Plagiatsüberprüfungssoftware und Datenbankfunktionen (z. B. "related documents") bei der Plagiatsbekämpfung? Welche Antworten bieten wissenschaftliche Institutionen? Wieso klagen Betroffene über Verzögerungstaktiken? Sind die Alternativen "informed peer review" und "open access"?
