Abstract

Points out that strategic plans for libraries and information centres can provide a focus and direction for the organization that helps its employees address the future. Strategic information services plans can vary in their level of detail and complexity. The Boeing network of technical libraries in Seattle, Washington, have developed a simplified and pragmatic strategic plan by preparing a Situation-Target-Proposal approach.
