Abstract

Alexander Tzonis, Architekturhistoriker und seit Jahren als Hochschullehrer intensiv mit Fragen der Künstlichen Intelligenz und des Computer Aided Design beschäftigt, hat einen Kriminalroman geschrieben, der sich an die Klassiker des amerikanischen Kriminalromans anlehnt. Der Protagonist Hermes ist ein Fachmann für KI, den es auf einer Griechenlandreise in dubiose Kreise verschlägt, deren Akteure die Jagd nach einem ominösen (kryptomythologischen) Vorläufer des Computers, der goldenen Denkmaschine, vereint. Die nach allen regeln der private eye-Geschichten konzipierte und geschriebene Story ist auf einem nebengleis zugleich eine Abhandlung über Theorie und Geschichte der KI. Der Roman ist selbst für Leser spannend, die auf diesem Gebiet Einsteiger oder auch bloß neugierig sind
