Abstract

Umfangreiche, vielfältige und zuverlässige Informationen bilden in einer Welt voller Unsicherheit die Grundlage für rationale Entscheidungen. Mit zunehmender Komplexität der in der Realität zu beachtenden Zusammenhänge wächst der Bedarf an Informationen überproportional an. Die Qualität und Leistungsfähigkeit des Informationssektors spielt eine bedeutende Rolle in einer Dienstleistungsgesellschaft und ist mitverantwortlich für die internationale Wettbewerbsfähigkeit einer Volkswirtschaft
