Abstract

NREN is a multiphased project which aims to provide for storing and high-speed transferring of data in text, voice and graphics formats and of which certain aspects are eesential to the educational needs and research activities of academic institutions. Describes these under the following headings: structural capabilities, key players in NREN, governing board, bipartisan, regulation and guiding principles, and sources of funding for development and operation
