Abstract

"Hilfe, wir ertrinken in Paper-Fluten!" Diejenigen, die in diesen Chor einstimmen, werden immer mehr. Und auch in dem, was die Rettung bringen könnte, sind sich viele einig: Forschende sollen weniger und selektiver publizieren. Die Diagnose stimmt natürlich. Die Zahl der wissenschaftlichen Publikationen geht durch die Decke: 2020 erschienen knapp 3 Millionen Fachartikel, 1996 war es noch keine Million.
