Abstract

Pazifisten haben es nicht leicht: Man wirft ihnen Blauäugigkeit oder blinden Dogmatismus vor. Dieser Essay verteidigt demgegenüber einen Pazifismus ohne Prinzipienreiterei. So gut wie alle kriegerischen Handlungen sind unmoralisch. Pazifismus darf deshalb nicht darauf hinauslaufen, mit geschlossenen Augen starre moralische Regeln zu predigen, sondern er muss auf friedliebende Art und Weise die politische Wirklichkeit betrachten. Olaf Müller gibt dabei in aller Offenheit zu: So verstandener Pazifismus ist anstrengend und bietet keine Garantie dafür, am Ende schuldlos zu bleiben.
