Abstract
Größe und Relevanz eines Unternehmens sind relative Kriterien; sie sind abhängig von den Parametern, mit denen sie gemessen werden. Nach ihrem Börsenwert sind die zehn bedeutendsten Internet-Konzern in den USA und in China angesiedelt. Sie werden kurz vorgestellt. Fünf US-Konzerne beherrschen die wichtigsten Geschäftsfelder, nämlich Microsoft, Apple, Google, Amazon und Facebook, sie werden ausführlich porträtiert. Am Ende wird knapp gefragt, welchen politischen Einfluss diese transnationalen Konzerne haben bzw. wie sie sich über nationale und internationale Regeln hinwegsetzen, um ihre Geschäftsmodelle zu realisieren.
