Abstract
Wahrscheinlich keinen wirtschaftlichen, aber auf alle Fälle einen persönlichen Erfolg kann Arnoud de Kemp nach Abschluss der ersten Informare! verbuchen. Als erfahrenem Networker, der er auch schon ohne Facebook, XING und Co. war, ist es ihm und seinem kleinen Team fraglos gelungen, eine anspruchsvolle anregende, unterhaltsame Kongress-Messe auf die Beine zu stellen, die vom 3 bis 5. Mai 250 Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer in das von Nicolas Berggruen zum modernen Konferenzzentrum im Stil der 1960er Jahre umgestaltete Ostberliner Café Moskau lockte und beflügelte. Der Versuch, die Welten von Informationswirtschaft, Computerspielen, Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien, vernetzter Forschung, Informatik sowie Buch- und Bibliothekswesen zusammenzuführen, um dem gemeinsamen Anliegen Informationskompetenz Gewicht und Stimme in die Gesellschaft hinein zu verleihen, ist diesmal nur bedingt geglückt, Trotz mehrerer unentgeltlicher Satellitenveranstaltungen am Abend war der Zuspruch von Studenten, Politikern und interessierten Bürgern eher ernüchternd, doch gab es immerhin fast 400 Anmeldungen für dieses Rahmenprogramm. Auch machte sich die zunehmende Dichte von zielgruppenspezifischen Veranstaltungen, der begrenzte Zeit- und Reisebudgets gegenüber stehen, bemerkbar, sodass die Kernklientel der ehemaligen Infobase diesmal weder bei den Ausstellern noch bei den Kongressteilnehmern erreicht werden konnte. Aber die zweite Informare! ist für den 8. bis 10. Mai 2012 bereits angekündigt und wer schon 2011 in Berlin dabei war, konnte eine Menge Interessantes hören, sehen und lernen.
