Abstract
Vom 12. bis 14. November 2003 fand die nun schon 7. InetBib-Tagung statt. Der Reigen der jährlich statt findenden Veranstaltungen (nur 2001 gab es eine Pause) begann 1996 in Dortmund. Diesmal wurde das Kongresszentrum der Deutschen Bibliothek in Frankfurt am Main als Veranstaltungsort gewählt, eine glückliche Entscheidung: Der Vortragsraum hatte für die ca. 300 Teilnehmer/innen aus allen deutschsprachigen Ländern und einigen Nachbarstaaten die richtige Größe, die Aussteller waren nicht zu weit weg vom Hörsaal und fanden in den beiden Standbereichen guten Zuspruch; es gab keine verlorenen Ecken. Die Organisation war ein gutes Beispiel, wie quasi mit Hausmitteln - also ohne eine Auftragsvergabe an einen speziellen Kongressveranstalter - ein schon zu den größeren im Fachgebiet zählendes Ereignis professionell durchgeführt werden kann; das Engagement der Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter der ddb als Hausherrin, aber auch der Mit-Organisatoren (UB Dortmund, Deutsches Institut für Internationale Pädagogische Forschung -dipf-, StUB Frankfurt/Main, Stadtbücherei Frankfurt/Main) war zu spüren und wurde von den Besucher/innen immer wieder positiv vermerkt. Dies galt ebenso für die Vorträge wie für angelagerten sozialen Programme.
