"Der Marktanteil der Microsoft-Suchmaschine Live Search liegt laut den Analysten von WebHits bei bescheidenen 1,8 Prozent. Google behauptet dagegen mit 89,6 Prozent seine Vormachtstellung. Jetzt versucht Microsoft, Googles Erfolg zu kopieren und setzt ebenfalls auf das puristische Design des Marktführers - und auf eine Verbesserung der Trefferquote. Laut Toni Pelg, Leiter der Forschungsabteilung bei Microsoft, hat der Konzern die Suchmaschine dafür gründlich überarbeitet: Die Suchfunktion von Live Search soll jetzt bessere Ergebnisse und zudem schnellere Antworten liefern. So zeigt etwa die dortige Suche zu dem Begriff "Porsche" Bilder des rasanten Sportwagens aus Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen und erst danach einen Link zur Homepage des Herstellers -Microsoft nennt das Prinzip "Instant Answers".
