Abstract
Die Publikationskultur der hermeneutisch geprägten Geistes-und Sozialwissenschaften unterscheidet sich signifikant von derjenigen der exakten Wissenschaften, sowohl hinsichtlich der Publikationsformate als auch hinsichtlich der Relation von Form und Inhalt. Hinzu kommt der spezifische Bedarf der Geisteswissenschaften an offenen Quellen als Grundlage für Produktion und Rezeption ihrer Ergebnisse. Angesichts der komplexen Herausforderung bei der Neuimplementierung geisteswissenschaftlicher Publikationsformate dürfte dabei der Akzent der Open-Access-Agenda kurzfristig auf der Forderung nach freiem, auch technisch offenem Quellenzugang liegen.
