Abstract

Die Teilnehmerliste liest sich wie ein Whois-who der deutschen Industrie - Daimler-Chrysler und BASF, Siemens und Infineon, SAP und Microsoft Deutschland, Altana Pharma, Bayer, Boehringer und Schering - alle waren da und machten mit ihrer Präsenz deutlich, dass das Thema Competitive Intelligence endlich aus dem Schattendasein einer vermeintlichen amerikanischen Modeerscheinung ins Licht anerkannter Managementdisziplinen tritt. Die Veranstalter-das Deutsche Competitive Intelligence Forum DCIF und die weltweite Berufsorganisation der Konkurrenzforscher SCIP - rannten mit dieser ersten Jahrestagung augenscheinlich offene Türen ein. Eingeladen waren nicht nur erfahrene Konkurrenzforscher, sondern auch Neulinge auf dem Gebiet der Competitive Intelligence und verwandter Gebiete wie Informationsdienstleistung, Marktforschung, Strategieentwicklung, Wissensmanagement, Konzernplanung oder Forschung und Entwicklung. Die mehr als achtzig Teilnehmer von Großunternehmen, Mittelständlern, Beratungsfirmen und Hochschulen ließen sich von einer Reihe interessanter Referenten locken, die über ihre Erfahrungen bei Organisation und Durchführung von Competitive Intelligence berichteten. Mit dabei waren Robin Kirkby von Altana Pharma, Roberto Gualdoni von der BASF, Prof. Dr. Michael Worzyk von der Fachhochschule Anhalt, Peter Pfaffinger von Siemens ICN, Klaus Handler von Infineon Technologies und Felicitas Piegsda-Rohowski (Lycos Europe).
