Abstract

Die Entwicklung von internetgestützten Schulungsangeboten ist Teil des Konzeptes »Zukunftsorientierte Internetangebote in der Regionalbibliothek Neubrandenburg«, welches schon vor acht Jahren erarbeitet wurde, immer mit der Perspektive, die Bibliothek als integrativen Bestandteil des Medienzentrums Neubrandenburg zu sehen. Die Zielstellung war, Schulungen zum Erwerb und zur Entwicklung von Informations- und Medienkompetenz in einem mehrstufigen differenzierten Konzept mit aufeinander aufbauenden und sich ergänzenden Kursen einzurichten, die sich von anderen Anbietern durch bibliotheksrelevante Inhalte und Formen abgrenzen. In Neubrandenburg wurde ein Modell auf die Beine gestellt, bei dem die Kurse nach Nutzungsbereichen differenziert angeboten werden. Diana Howe beschreibt die bisherigen Erfahrungen, mit Schwerpunkt auf der Hauptbibliothek, in der die Kurse seit anderthalb Jahren in Zusammenarbeit mit einem Bildungsträger der Erwachsenenbildung stattfinden.
