Abstract

Nach OECD-Angaben kommen bei rund 80% des weltweiten Austauschs von Waren und Dienstleistungen technische Normen freiwillig oder durch deren Einbindung in die Gesetzgebung zur Geltung. Der internationale Handel benötigt für einen fairen Wettbewerb Normen, die durch das Konsensprinzip legitimiert sind. Die internationale und europäische Zusammenarbeit hat deshalb für alle Normungsorganisationen einen hohen Stellenwert. Bei den internationalen und europäischen Normungsinstituten (ISO/IEC, CEN/ CENELEC) ist das DIN mit seinen Normenausschüssen und anderen Gremien das alleinige deutsche Mitglied und nimmt somit die deutschen Interessen wahr.
