Abstract
Im Jahr 1998 beauftragte die Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft die Bayerische Staatsbibliothek München, die UB/TIB Hannover und die ULB Düsseldorf in dem Pilotprojekt »Elektronische Zeitschriften in der überregionalen Literaturversorgung« (EZUL) mit der Entwicklung von Konzepten zur Integration elektronischer Zeitschriften in das DFG-gestützte System der überregionalen Literaturversorgung. Während die Teilprojekte in Hannover und München durch den Abschluss spezieller Lizenzverträge und die Implementierung einer innovativen technischen Lösung für ihr jeweiliges Fächerspektrum prototypisch ein Pay-per-View-Modell umsetzten, wurden an der ULB Düsseldorf begleitende Nutzungsanalysen durchgeführt. Aufsetzend auf den Erfahrungen dieses Projekts hat die DFG im Jahr 2002 ein entsprechendes Pilotförderprogramm ins Leben gerufen.
