Abstract

Der Buchdruck ist eine Kommunikationstechnologie, die unsere Kultur tiefgreifend verändert und ihre Strukturen über Jahrhunderte geprägt hat. An seinem Beispiel zeigt der Autor, daß man Kulturgeschichte durchaus mit Gewinn als eine Geschichte mehr oder weniger technisierter sozialer Informationsverarbeitung betrachten kann
