Reviews the production of printed indexes and indexing services covering Indian newspapers with information on the individual Indian states producing newspapers and the distribution of the newspapers, by publication frequency, across the different languages of publication. Stresses the need for greater coordination of indexing activities in order to improve the overall standard and comprehensiveness of Indian newspaper indexing
