Abstract

Mit Holton's Begriff des 'Themas' sind Begriffe und Annahmen gemeint, die sich unmittelbar weder auf die empirische Basis der Wissenschaft noch auf ihr formales Begriffsgerüst beziehen und die normalerweise nicht explizit in den Darstellungen der Theorie und der Forschungsergebnisse in Erscheinung treten, aber eine wichtige Rolle bei der Entwicklung neuer Begriffsstrukturen spielen. Am Beispiel des Trägheitsgesetzes wird die Entwicklung einer neuen wissenschaftlichen Grundeinstellung verfolgt
