Abstract

Describes an IASA project to produce, by 1998, cataloguing rules for audio formats, including multimedia and moving image formats where the audio content is of major significance. The rules aim to cover analytic, multilevel and collection level descriptions of recordings of music and literature, oral history, interviews, radio programmes, wildlife, ethnographic and actuality material. A resume of the current state of progress, meetings held and members of the Editorial Group is given, as well as an account of developments during the Perugia conference
