Abstract
Vor allem das Forschungsprogramm ESPRIT der Europäischen Union bemüht sich seit 1984 darum, europäische Unternehmen bei der gemeinschaftlichen Entwicklung neuer Informationstechnologien zu unterstützen. Eine Bilanz des Erreichten wird in der European Information Technology Conference EITC gezogen, die seit einigen Jahren jeweils im November - so auch 1995 - in Brüssel veranstaltet wird.
