    Abstract
    Die Erstellung eines Pflichtenheftes als eines Katalogs von Festlegungen und Forderungen, der für die Bilbiothek wie für die Softwarefirma gleichermaßen nützlich und notwendig ist, ist zeitaufwendig und oft für kleinere Bibliotheken nicht ganz problemlos. Mit dieser Arbeitshilfe soll die Lösung einer solchen Aufgabe erleichtert werden. In Form einer Feingliederung, die Hinweise, Erläuterungen, Erfassungsmasken sowie beispiele für Bestell- und Mahnlisten, Statistikübersichten usw. enthält, werden die Arbeitsbereiche und Funktionen Erwerbung, Katalogisierung, Recherche, OPAC, Ausleihe, Zeitschriftenverwaltung, Fremddatenübernahme und Statistik dargestellt. Die Gliederung nennt in Stichworten die an ein DV-Bibliothekssystem zu richtenden Anforderungen in den einzelnen Arbeitsbereichen, die die Grundlage für die Erstellung eines Pflichtenheftes bilden. Über diesen primären Zweck hinaus kann diese Arbeitshilfe als 'Checkliste' dienen, mit deren Hilfe Umfang und Leistungsspektrum eines EDV-Bibliiothekssystems unter den Bedingungen der konkreten Anforderungen einer Bibliothek geprüft werden kann

    Abstract
    Das OSI-Schichtenmodell beschreibt für die Rechner-Rechner-Kopplung und die Programm-Programm-Kopplung Dienste wie elektronische Post/Mailboxen, Fernleihe ILL oder Datenbanksuche und legt die prozeduralen Schnittstellen in Protokollen und Nachrichten fest. Die elektronisch transportierten Inhalte (EDI) werden für die Weiterverarbeitung nach internationalen Datenformaten wie EDIFACT (Buchhandel), UNIMARC, CCF (bilbiographisch), ODA/ODIF und SGML (Layout) strukturiert. Für klkeine Bibliotheken ist es schon jetzt erschwinglich, Briefe, Faxe und bibliographische Daten mit der Mailbox der Bundespost oder im DFN nach X.400-Standard zu versenden. Sie können mit dem PC geschrieben, gelesen, bearbeitet, weitergeleitet und automatisch verteilt werden. Mit OSI-Schnittstellen könnenn nicht nur entfernt gelegene Bibliotheksrechner miteinander gekoppelt werden, sondern auch die Verbindung verschiedener Bibliotheksprogramme innerhalb eines Hauses wird möglich
