    Abstract
    An der Deutschen Bibliothek wurden im Rahmen eines Projektes alle vorhandenen relevanten Fachzeitschriften und Serien nach DK klassifiziert. Hierfür mußten besondere Richtlinien aufgestellt werden. Sie betreffen die Festlegung des intellektuellen Niveaus der Zeitschriften, die Tiefe der Notation, ihre Einheitlichkeit durch Orientierung am Schlagwortregelwerk des DB, die Bevorzugung synthetischer Notationen und allgemeiner Formanhängezahlen, die Erstellung eines Schlagwortregisters mit Verweisung auf die Notationen und die Nutzung fremder Register, z.B. der ETH-Zürich

    Abstract
    Die Thermodynamik als Grenzgebiet zwischen Physik und Chemie lehrt die fundamentale Bedeutung des Ordnungsbegriffs für alles Geschehen in der unbelebten Natur; viele Vorgänge gewinnen durch ihn Erklärung und Vorausberechenbarkeit. Das Verhalten eines Informationssystems unter der Belastung seiner wachsenden Inanspruchnahme wird verständlich, wenn man jegliches Geschehen auf diesem Gebiet aus der Perspektive eines thermodynamisch und philosophisch fundierten Ordnungsbegriffs betrachtet. Die Zukunftssicherheit eines Informationssystems hängt entscheidend vom Grad der in ihm herrschenden Ordnung ab. Zum Ordnungsschaffen können die klassischen Werkzeuge der Logik wirkungsvoll eingesetzt werden

    Abstract
    Dem Menschen sind in Abhängigkeit von seinem Erkenntnisapparat gewisse Eigenschaften von Gegenständen leichter zugänglich als andere, und gewisse Eigenschaften setzen dabei andere voraus. So machen sich in natürliche entstandenen Klassifikationen universal Schranken bemerkbar, die nicht logisch begründbar, wohl aber psychologisch (und mutmaßlich neurobiologisch) erklärbar sind. Viele dieser Schranken haben eine implikative Struktur. Eine zweite auffallende Eigenschaft natürlicher Klassenbildung ist ihre Orientierung nicht an einem geschlossenen Bündel definitorischer Eigenschaften, sondern an prototypischen Vertretern von Klassen. Prototypen und an Prototypen orientierte Klassifikationen sind ihrerseits durch eine Reihe universal feststellbarer Eigenschaften ausgezeichnet
