    Abstract
    Ergebnisse einer Umfrage über die Anwendung des Datenbankprogramms CDS/ISIS in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland. Von 130 angeschriebenem deutschen ISIS-Lizenznehmern haben 42 geantwortet, die das Programm nicht anwenden und 20, die es anwenden. Deren Verhalten, Gründe für die Nicht-Nutzung und verwirklichte Anwendungen wurden ausführlich untersucht und dargelegt.Auf eine allgemeine Auswertung hin folgt ein Überblick über das ISIS-Anwendungsspektrum mit konkreten Einzeldarstellungen aller Anwender. Im ersten Teil werden Hauptmerkmale und -funktionen des leistingsfähigen Programm beschrieben und bewertet, außerdem Bedeutung und Verbreitung in anderen Ländern kurz vorgestellt

    Abstract
    Es handelt sich um eine Zusammenfassung (H. Rösner) aufgrund des Wortprotokolls einer Anhörung der baden-württembergischen Enquetekommission (Multimedia-Enquete) des Landtages zu folgenden Punkten: (1) Gegenwärtige und künftige Bedeutung der neuen Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologie für die Bibliotheken; (2) Wie schnell und mit welchem Aufwand ließe sich zu welchen Kosten für den einzelnen eine möglichst vollständige, zeitlich unbegrenzte Verfügbarkeit über Bibliotheksbestände erreichen? (3) Welche Auswirkungen auf den Arbeitsmarkt und auf die Aus- und Weiterbildung im Bibliotheksbereich sind infolge des Einsatzes der neuen Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologie zu erwarten?
