Abstract

By the end of the decade the Internet network will be pervasive. Libraries must not ignore the issues raised by the existence of computer networks. Outlines how Internet services can be connected to existing library services. The Internet is a valuable resource for reference work, and for keeping up with current theories and practices in the profession. New net tools are are increasingly becoming available which will bring a new level of indexing and finding tools, as well as the ability to show different fonts and graphics. Librarians must be willing to adapt to developments
