Abstract
Imagine a cast space (of many, many dimensions if you can) inhabited by documents, words, and concepts - let's call it a concept space. Picture each document as an orb of valuable information that some cosmic librarian has arranged such that the orbs with similar information are near each other. Further, you own an intelligent machine such when you ask it questions, it transports you to the place in the universe that has the information you need. Orbs float all around you, arranged for your viewing pleasure according to orders and clues you gave the machine, as well as some things the machine knows about you and the orbs. The machine hides some orbs from your view, while placing others right under your nose. Browsing is easy. The closer the orb, the more useful it is. You are free to move around and examine all the orbs, but there are millions of them, so it might be a good idea to consider the advice of the machine
