Abstract

As more and more consumers enter the world of CD-ROM databases for the first time, publishers face the need to create engaging titles that do not presume a high level of literacy. One result of this trend is that Compton's NewMedia, pioneer developer, publisher and distributor of CD-ROM information, education and entertainment, have started to pay more attention to the television orientation of the new CD-ROM consumers.
