Abstract

With the enhancement of subject searching recently added to OCLC's Online Union Catalog (OLUC) via PRISM access, looks at subject access and the OLUC in the context of cooperative cataloguing. In the case of subjects, this means actively trying to produce subject headings that are usable by all OLUC searchers. This occasionally requires more work, but the benefits are high, both for the professional cataloguer and the user
