Abstract

Describes the experiences of a medium-sized public library system, the Fairfield County District Library (FCDL), Ohio, in using the products and services of OCLC. Looks particularly at the cost of OCLC cataloguing services as compared to one of its major competitors in the non-large library market, the Library Corporation's Bibliofile. Whilst FCDL could save at least $6000 per year by going to another vendor, it is felt that OCLC's value-added aspects make it worthwhile
