Abstract

Describes the cooperative activity of the South West Thames Health region in producing the Regional Documents Database (RDD) to improve the standards of cataloguing in the region. The RDD is held on a microcomputer at the Regional Library Unit, using a text retrieval package, INMAGIC. Material is input to the database centrally from data supplied by the participating medical libraries on disk or in hardcopy. The catalogue is available online and consists of the stock of all the libraries
