Abstract

Knowledge Finder, developed by Aries System Corporation, Mass. consists of a CD-ROM database of Medline for use with the Apple Macintosh microcomputer. The most exhaustive version consists of 15 years of unabridged Index Medicus but variations include: 3, 6 or 10 years of Index Medicus unabridged, the core periodicals, and 5 or 10 years of speciality databases in specific medical subjects. Knowledge Finder (and its networked counterpart Knowledge Server) consists of 3 components: the MEDLINE database, the MeSH thesaurus and the term dictionaries. Sample searches are described
