Abstract

Das Jahr 2023 wird als der Beginn einer neuen Epoche in die Menschheitsgeschichte eingehen, als ChatGPT künstliche Intelligenz für alle verfügbar machte. KI verändert die Welt schneller und weitergehender als gedacht, wie der Neurowissenschaftler und Bestsellerautor Manfred Spitzer eindrucksvoll in seinem neuen Buch beschreibt. Er analysiert den Einsatz von KI in den Bereichen Medizin, Militär, Klima, Natur- und Geisteswissenschaften, Verbrechensbekämpfung, Politik, Wirtschaft sowie im Alltag. Sein beunruhigendes Fazit: KI durchdringt schon jetzt unser Leben und unsere Gesellschaft, und zwar ohne jede Regulierung, von vorheriger Technikfolgenabschätzung nicht zu reden. KIs produzieren eben nicht nur "Dummheiten"; in falschen Händen können sie die Menschheit in den Abgrund stürzen.
