Abstract

In the evolving landscape of pedagogical innovation, addressing the diverse learning needs of students remains a paramount challenge. This chapter delves into the intricacies of knowledge heterogeneity and its implications in educational settings. Drawing from the broader research on semantic networks, the authors explore their potential as a tool for decoding and managing the multifaceted learning needs of students. Semantic networks, with their ability to represent complex knowledge structures and relationships, offer a promising avenue for instructional designers to create adaptive and personalized learning experiences. By integrating semantic network methodologies into pedagogical strategies, educators can better understand learners' prior knowledge, misconceptions, and learning trajectories.
