Abstract
Die Gemeinsame Normdatei liefert normierte Sachbegriffe für die Inhaltserschließung von Publikationen. Als historisch gewachsenes System kontrollierten Vokabulars ist sie selbst Produkt der Wissensproduktion, die sie widerspiegelt. Seit über 30 Jahren fordert die Geschlechterforschung dieses System heraus und hinterfragt seine androzentrische Basis. In dem Artikel werden einige historische und aktuelle Beispiele diskutiert sowie Möglichkeiten offeriert, wie Sachbegriffe künftig geschlechtersensibel definiert werden können.
