Abstract

Digital - medial - (a)sozial: Wie Facebook, Twitter, Youtube & Co unsere demokratische Kultur verändern (Teil 1). Warum ist das Thema Medien eigentlich so wichtig? Ganz einfach: Weil Medien maßgeblich unser Wissen und unsere Meinung über die Welt beeinflussen und weil der möglichst umfassende Austausch von Informationen und Sichtweisen in den Medien eine Bedingung für einen offenen und demokratischen Meinungsbildungsprozess ist. Der freie Austausch der vielfältigen gesellschaftlichen Meinungen ist wiederum eine Voraussetzung für eine demokratische politische Willensbildung und er verschafft politischen Entscheidungen ihre demokratische Legitimation.
