Abstract
An der Innovationsuniversität Stanford in Silikon Valley wird derzeit die Digitalisierung der Gefühle diskutiert. Stanford ist in Informationstechnologie weltweit führend und interpretiert sie als "Befreiungstechnologie" (liberation technology). Forscher stellen seit Januar 2017 den baldigen Zusammenschluss des menschlichen Gefühls mit Technik als unvermeidlich dar - wenn auch nicht notwendigerweise als wünschenswert. Firmen und Forscher arbeiten mit Macht daran, einerseits Computer mit Emotionen zu entwickeln, andererseits menschliche Gefühle zu computerisieren. Beide Entwicklungen sollen sich, so die Absicht, gegenseitig verstärken und im Idealfall vereinigen. Milliardengelder werden investiert, um die technische, ökonomische und menschliche Zukunft kurzzuschließen und damit die sogenannte Mensch-Maschine-Konvergenz zu erreichen. In der Tat gilt für den Zusammenfluss technischer, wirtschaftlicher und anthropologischer Zukunft - die sogenannte Mensch-Maschine-Konvergenz - die Entwicklung von Computern mit Emotion als wesentlicher Trend. Umgekehrt steht zugleich die Computerisierung von menschlichen Gefühlen im Mittelpunkt. Beide Trends - von Mensch zu Maschine und von Maschine zu Mensch - wirken zusammen und erzeugen zunehmend Austausch. Ein Teil des Spekulationskapitals fließt bereits jetzt in ihren Schnittpunkt - für baldige Verwirklichung in einer Vielzahl von Breitenanwendungen.
