Abstract

Wissensaustausch in dem Sinne, dass Ideen geteilt werden, Studierende von den Leistungen ihrer Kommilitonen lernen, Ergebnisse für andere zum Weiterdenken und -arbeiten verfügbar machen und Ähnliches, ist unter Studierenden auch im Zeitalter des Web 2.0 keine Selbstverständlichkeit. Die Augsburger Initiative "w.e.b.Square" setzt am genannten Mangel an, indem sie herausragende studentische Wissensprodukte unter der Leitidee "von Studierenden für Studierende" auf einem Online-Portal öffentlich zugänglich macht. Das Motto "von Studierenden flit Studierende" spiegelt sich dabei in allen Aktivitäten des Projekts wider: in der Generierung von Inhalten für das Portal, in der Nutzung der Inhalte, in deren .Auswahl und Zusammenstellung sowie in der Weiterentwicklung des Portals. Hinter der Projektinitiative steht ein Redaktionsteam aus Studierenden, studentischen und wissenschaftlichen Mitarbeitern. Sie helfen mit, das vorhandene Wissen mit Methoden und Werkzeugen so zu organisieren, dass es aus Zielgruppensicht optimal gesucht und gefunden werden kann und w.e.b.Square als innovative Informationsvermittlungsstelle seine Dienste leistet. Darüber hinaus führt die Initiative seit einiger Zeit studentische Tagungen mit dem Ziel durch, eine Kultur des Wissensaustauschs vor Ort zu etablieren. Der vorliegende Beitrag skizziert daher zunächst das Projekt w.e.b.Square mit seinen Chancen und Grenzen für das (studiengangskonforme) Self-Assessment. Im Anschluss daran werden die Erweiterungspotenziale des Konzepts für die Organisation "Hochschule" aufgezeigt, die sich zum Teil bereits in der Erprobungsphase befinden und für die erste Evaluationsergebnisse vorliegen. Abschließend werden die Bemühungen um w.e.b.Square theoretisch vor dem Hintergrund der Informationsvermittlung eingeordnet.
