"Seit 2009 wird die Systematik für Bibliotheken (SfB) in jährlichen Updates unter www.sfb-online.de veröffentlicht. Für das Update 2013 wurde die Fachsystematik »Medizin« überarbeitet und neu strukturiert. Viele für Öffentliche Bibliotheken nicht mehr relevante Stellen wurden gestrichen, wie zum Beispiel die Raumfahrtmedizin, andere, wie zum Beispiel die für Ambulante Hilfs- und Pflegedienste, ergänzt. Die Zusatzvereinbarung für Kinder- und Jugendliteratur wurden um die Bereiche Fantasy und Krimi erweitert. Die gesamte aktualisierte SfB sowie Ansprechpartner für Fragen, Anregungen und Kritik sind unter www.sfb-online.de zu finden. Die SfB wird in Kooperation von der Büchereizentrale Schleswig Holstein, der Stadtbibliothek Bremen, der Stadtbücherei Frankfurt am Main und der Stadtbibliothek Hannover gepflegt. Ein weiterer wichtiger Partner ist die ekz, die sich sowohl an der fachlichen Weiterentwicklung der SfB beteiligt als auch das Hosting für die SfB-online leistet."
