Abstract

Dieser Artikel beschreibt die Erfahrungen und Ergebnisse eines Microblogging-Projekts an der Universität Hildesheim. Im Rahmen eines Seminars wurde die Möglichkeit geboten, sich freiwillig über die gemeinsame Präsenzzeit hinaus zu Inhalten des Kurses auf einem Microblog auszutauschen. Die Studie versucht zu ermitteln, in welchem Maß diese neue Kommunikationsform Akzeptanz findet und inwieweit daraus für Lehre und Forschung ein Mehrwert gezogen werden kann. Der Einsatz von Microblogging lässt eine höhere Transparenz in der Auseinandersetzung mit Inhalten sowie eine stärkere Dynamik beim Meinungsaustausch der Gruppenmitglieder erwarten. Aufgrund mangelnder Beteiligung konnten die erwarteten Potentiale nicht realisiert werden. Die Erkenntnisse der Studie geben dennoch wichtige Hinweise für die Gestaltung weiterer Anwendungsszenarien.
