Abstract

Ich möchte mit dieser Arbeit zur Erweiterung des kritischen Verständnisses neuer Kommunikationssysteme beitragen. Dabei setze ich voraus, daß man zur Untersuchung dieser Systeme zugleich ergründen sollte, welcher Identitätstypus von ihnen begünstigt wird. Nach meiner Ansicht besteht Kultur unter anderem in dem Sprachverhalten, aus dem sich Identitäten bilden. Denn das, was einen Amerikaner zum Amerikaner macht, einen Studenten zum Studenten oder eine Frau zur Frau, ist ein Gefüge sprachlicher Außerungen und Situationen, bei denen einem Menschen bestimmte Eigenschaften zugeordnet werden - meist hinter seinem Rücken, oder zumindest ohne daß er sich dieser Zuordnungen direkt gewahr würde. Wenn sich solche diskursiven Praktiken jedoch verändern, dürfen wir annehmen, daß sich mit ihnen auch der Charakter von Identitäten verändern wird.
