Abstract

Communities stellen im Kern Gemeinschaften dar, deren zentrales Ziel der Austausch von Informationen und Wissen ist. Im Fokus steht dabei Nutzung der menschlichen Wissensressource zur Erhöhung der Wertschöpfung und Innovationsfähigkeit. Die Realität zeigte in den letzten Jahren ein ernüchterndes Bild. Communi-ties funktionieren nicht, weil Menschen nicht oder unzureichend kooperie-ren, Egoismus vor Gemeinnutzen das persönliche Handeln bestimmt. Oder Wissen als Machtinstrument eingesetzt wird. Das Buch widmet sich diesem Problemkreis aus einer sozial-betriebswirtschaftlichen Perspektive. Grundlage ist die Analyse der aktuel-len Literatur sowie eine umfangreiche empirische Studie. Die Ergebnisse sind umfangreich. Wissensgemeinschaften benötigen ein Klima der Kooperation und des Austausches. Und eben das ist nicht trivial zu managen. Wie das geht und welche Ansätze eine positive Wirkung auf Organisationen haben können, werden in diesem Buch umfangreich und leicht zugänglich dargestellt.
