Abstract
Der Beitrag beschreibt und analysiert die jüngsten Open-Access-Initiativen der Europäischen Kommission, indem er sie zu offiziellen Dokumenten der Kommission, Studien in ihrem Auftrag, öffentlichen Konsultationen sowie ähnlichen Initiativen und Erklärungen europäischer Organisationen in Beziehung setzt . Abschließend werden von einem Open-Access-freundlichen Standpunkt aus Schwachpunkte dieser Initiativen der Europäischen Kommission angeführt: die unzulängliche Berücksichtigung der Spezifika von Interdisziplinarität und die starke Orientierung an Naturwissenschaften und Medizin.
