"Das Internet-Nachschlagewerk Wikipedia soll verlässlicher werden. Seit Dienstag gibt es in der freien Enzyklopädie gesichtete und geprüfte Artikel. Den Status zeigt ein Symbol in der rechten oberen Ecke des Artikels an. Ein gelbes Auge bedeutet, dass der Text von einem regelmäßigen Wikipedia-Autor gesichtet und als frei von offensichtlichen Verunstaltungen eingestuft wurde. "Geprüft" und mit grünem Häkchen versehen ist ein Artikel, wenn ein "fachkundiger Prüfer" darin keine sachlichen Fehler oder verfälschende Lücken findet. Wie jemand als Prüfer bestätigt wird, sei aber noch unklar, heißt es auf der Wikipedia-Seite. Artikel, die weder gesichtet noch geprüft sind, tragen ein graues Minus - das sind bisher die meisten, weil die Kontrolle erst vor kurzem eingeführt wurde. Außerdem will Bertelsmann Wikipedia im September in Buchform herausbringen. Enthalten soll es die 50 000 am häufigsten recherchierten Suchbegriffe der Online-Enzyklopädie."
