Diese Auswahlliste soll für Öffentliche Bibliotheken eine Hilfe beim Auf- und Ausbau ihrer Informationsbestände sein. Insgesamt weist das Verzeichnis ca. 3.400 Nachschlagewerke nach, die bis auf begründete Ausnahmen zur Zeit lieferbar sind. Die Sachgliederung folgt der ASB
