Abstract

The Georgia Tech Electronic Library was developed to provide enhanced access to journal articles and other information sources not traditionally found in a library catalog. Several databases were added to the online catalog since 1985. These databases have had a profound impact on public services, technical services, and collection development. This paper discusses the issues encountered at Georgia Techand provides a look at the operations of an advanced catalog.
