Abstract
Die Philosophie in Deutschland hat viele Gesichter. Zahlreiche Traditionen und Denkströmungen wirken in sie hinein, ohne jedoch eine klare Identität oder eindeutige Konturen zu ergeben. Ein zusammenhängendes Gemälde ist schwerlich zu zeichnen, eine Augenblicksbeschreibung scheint angemessener. Die in diesem Band versammelten Porträts richten sich an alle philosophisch Interessierten. Sie verstehen sich als kurze, verständliche Einführungen in eine Diskussion, die sich laufend weiterentwickelt, deren Grundpositionen aber im wesentlichen von den Denkern geprägt werden, die der Band vorstellt.
