Abstract

Die Suche nach relevanten Informationsressourcen ist eine regelmäßige Aufgabe für die Mitglieder einer Organisation. Zu ihrer Unterstützung bei dieser Aufgabe können Information Retrieval-Systeme als Werkzeuge des Wissensmanagements zum Einsatz gelangen. Derzeitige Ansätze hierzu lassen jedoch Unterschiede zwischen den Informationsressourcen hinsichtlich ihrer Verstehbarkeit unberücksichtigt. Norman Lahme entwickelt zur Berücksichtigung dieser Unterschiede eine verstehbarkeitsorientierte Information Retrieval-Methode. Nach dieser wird zu einer Anfrage eines Nachfragers von Informationen eine an dessen Vorwissen orientierte und somit grundsätzlich verstehbare Komposition von Informationsressourcen ermittelt, die im Hinblick auf die zu ihrer Internalisierung durchschnittlich benötigte Zeit optimal ist. Zu seiner Methode erstellt er zudem einen effizienten Algorithmus, der auf Erkenntnissen aus der künstlichen Intelligenz aufbaut, sowie ein Softwareprodukt, das den Algorithmus implementiert und die Anwendung und Erprobung der Methode erlaubt. Das Buch wendet sich an Dozenten und Studenten der Informatik, der Betriebswirtschaftslehre und der Wirtschaftsinformatik sowie an Praktiker, die sich mit der informationstechnischen Unterstützung des Wissensmanagements befassen.
