Abstract
Musiker denken anders: Profis können Melodien beim bloßen Denken daran bereits hören, wie eine Studie der Universität Tübingen herausfand. Bei Amateuren sei diese Fähigkeit nicht gefunden worden, erklärten Wissenschaftler auf einer Neurologen-Tagung in San Diego, auf der die Tübinger Ergebnisse vorgestellt wurden. Die Wissenschaftler hatten die Gehirnaktivitäten von acht Orchestermusikern und acht Amateuren gemessen, als diese tonlos die ersten 16 Takte von Mozarts Violinkonzert in G-Dur spielten. Die Fingerbewegungen und die Vorstellung von der Musik habe bei den Profis - Geiger in deutschen Orchestern - Teile des Gehirns stark aktiviert, die eigentlich für das Hören zuständig sind, erklärte die Tübinger Forscherin Gabriela Scheler. "Wenn die Profis ihre Finger bewegen, hören sie die Musik in ihrem Kopf", sagte Scheler. Bei Amateuren hingegen sei höhere Aktivität in dem Bereich festgestellt worden, der die Bewegung der Finger kontrolliert. Sie seien offenbar vorrangig mit der korrekten Ausführung beschäftigt gewesen. Profis hingegen hätten wohl ihr Gehirn davon befreit, sich über das Treffen der richtigen Töne Gedanken zu machen. Ein zweiter, ähnlicher Test belegte die Befunde.
